Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital in Georgia seeks a Physical Therapist to join our inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation teams. You will provide PT services to a diverse patient population, from pediatric to geriatric, aiming to restore function and reduce pain through evaluations, modalities, and individualized treatments.

The role involves collaboration with therapists and PT assistants, orientation of staff when needed, and flexible scheduling across seven days.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (BS, MS, or DPT)
  • Maintain current CEUs as required by the State

Responsibilities

  • Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence.
  • Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury.
  • Provides patient care to all age groups including pediatric, adult and geriatric.
  • Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants.
  • May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Our inpatient therapy team-consisting of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology-is staffed seven days a week with flexible, varied schedules. We care for a diverse inpatient population, including orthopedic, neurologic, oncology, and generalized debility cases. Our outpatient department offers Physical and Occupational Therapy services, and due to fluctuating volumes, our outpatient clinicians are encouraged to be cross-trained for inpatient care to help maintain productivity while prioritizing excellent patient outcomes. Qualifications
Education
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required
  • Must maintain current CEU's as by the State
Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required
