Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our inpatient and outpatient rehab teams. You will evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan, support mobility, and prevent disability with evidence-based modalities.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PT program (BS/MS/DPT), current Georgia PT license or compact, BCLS, and 2 years of experience preferred. CEUs as required by the state.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required
• Must maintain current CEU’s as by the State
• 2 years of experience Preferred
• Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence.
• Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury.
• Provides patient care to all age groups to include pediatric, adult and geriatric.
• Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants.
• May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Our inpatient therapy team—consisting of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology—is staffed seven days a week with flexible, varied schedules. We care for a diverse inpatient population, including orthopedic, neurologic, oncology, and generalized debility cases. Our outpatient department offers Physical and Occupational Therapy services, and due to fluctuating volumes, our outpatient clinicians are encouraged to be cross‑trained for inpatient care to help maintain productivity while prioritizing excellent patient outcomes.
