MaineHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive PT evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and carry out therapies to restore function and relieve pain. Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapist program.
  • Current license to practice physical therapy in the applicable state.
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement and adjust therapies to restore function and relieve pain.
  • Provide care per the Plan of Care and standards of the APTA.

Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.
