Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform evaluations, develop plans, and administer treatments to restore function and relieve pain as part of the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Care will align with standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Professional setting with opportunities to support patients across care settings, including home care where applicable, and to participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Physical Therapist; BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of start date.
  • Experience: One year of experience in hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient PT preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical therapy evaluations.
  • Develop treatment plans.
  • Carry out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
  • Ensure care aligns with Plan of Care and standards established by the APTA.

Summary

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $40.06to $54.20 per hour.
