Job summary

Maine Medical Center, a MaineHealth facility, seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and deliver care to restore function and reduce pain. The role follows the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider and adheres to American Physical Therapy Association standards.

Qualified candidates will have an APTA-accredited PT program, state licensure, and BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days). Home care settings require a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  • Current applicable state license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with state act.
  • Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • Positions in Home Care require a valid driver's license with vehicle available for work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PT evaluations, develop plans, and carry out treatments to restore function and relieve pain.
  • Help patients reach maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider.
  • Provide all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Summary:
The Physical Therapist MMCP role performs physical therapy evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Provides all aspects of care based on standards established by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapist program required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as a Physical Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  3. Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Physical Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $40.06to $54.20 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
