Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• CPR certification and any other required state certifications.
• Strong clinical skills in orthopedic, neurological, or geriatric PT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Proficient computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine functional abilities, limitations and goals.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and apply therapeutic techniques.
• Administer exercises, manual therapy and modalities to improve mobility and function.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes clearly and timely.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to achieve optimal results.
• Educate patients and families on therapy procedures and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Stay current with advances in PT and integrate into practice.
• Coordinate care with nonclinical staff and delegate to PTA when appropriate.
