Job summary

MedCare Pediatric in Texas is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children's homes, daycares, and schools. You will work under a licensed PT, provide personalized care, and help kids reach their functional goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Active Texas PTA license or eligible by start date.
• One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Experience with pediatrics is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under a licensed PT per plan of care.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, and function.
• Educate families/caregivers on exercises and home programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate with the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team for quality care.
• Complete accurate clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
• One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
