Job summary

MedCare Pediatric, based in Texas Baytown, seeks a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, daycares, and schools. The role emphasizes compassionate care, collaboration, and professional growth.

You will work under a licensed PT with flexible scheduling options—full-time, part-time, or PRN—supporting a healthy work-life balance and gradual caseload ramp-up while maintaining quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
  • Current Texas PTA license, or eligible to obtain licensure by start date.
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
  • Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
  • Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
