Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in homes, daycares, and schools in Texas. You’ll work under a licensed Physical Therapist with flexible scheduling and options for full-time, part-time, or PRN.

You’ll help children improve mobility and independence, educate families on exercises, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a supportive, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date.
• One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
• Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour
