Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, schools, and daycares across Texas. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or PRN engagement, enabling focused, quality patient care while supporting family-centered goals.

The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, implement treatment plans, educate families, and document progress.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
  • Current Texas PTA license, or eligible to obtain licensure by start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, range of motion, endurance, gait, and functional independence.
  • Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
  • Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
