Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one therapy in children's homes, daycares, and schools within Texas. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, collaboration, and professional growth in a pediatric home health team.

The PTA will work under a licensed PT, implement treatment plans, educate families, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation to support each child's mobility and independence.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
  • Current Texas PTA license, or eligible to obtain licensure by start date.
  • One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with physician-approved plans of care.
  • Implement treatment plans to improve strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
  • Educate and train families and caregivers on exercises, positioning, mobility techniques, and home programs.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care

  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
