Job summary

Napa Valley Care Center in Napa, CA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work with Physical Therapists to help patients improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and achieve independence.

The ideal candidate is a graduate PTA, holds a California license, and has excellent communication skills. This full-time role offers competitive pay between $45 and $58 per hour and opportunities for professional growth in a skilled nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current California PTA license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional performance.
• Assist patients with gait training, transfer training, mobility activities, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal requirements.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and mobility techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning as needed.
