Job summary

Wellbrooke of Kokomo is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting and must hold a current PTA license or certification with CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises and modalities.
• Observe patient responses and document progress for supervision.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and communicate findings to supervising PT.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on home exercises and safety precautions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support supervising Physical Therapists with patient evaluations and progress notes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Provide instructions to patients and their families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
