Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting and follow established professional practices and ethical standards.

The role requires a current PTA license or certification, with CPR certification preferred. The position includes responsibilities such as implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families on

• Must hold and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (heat, cold, electrical stimulation)
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy and report to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and progress strategies for home use
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care; perform other duties as assigned
