Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Ohio is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support therapy services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. You will implement therapy plans, assist with exercises, and document patient progress in an interdisciplinary team setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on therapy, patient and family education, and ongoing collaboration with therapists to optimize recovery outcomes. Current PTA licensure and CPR certification are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state PTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation).
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support continued progress at home.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
