Job summary

MB Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation/Therapy team at Eagle Rock Post Acute Care in Cedar Grove, NJ. The PTA will work under the guidance of the PT, measuring and recording residents' motor function, assisting exercises, and documenting progress to support mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate PTA program completion.
• Current State PTA License required.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• Assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage.
• Educate residents on proper exercises to improve mobility.
• Help residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Maintain residents' confidentiality and comply with legal requirements.
• Contribute to therapy team goals and outcomes.

• PTA will work as part of the Therapy Team under the guidance of PT
• PTA will measure and record Residents motor function, strength and muscle performance.
