Eagle Rock Post Acute Care in Cedar Grove, NJ is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). You will join the Rehabilitation/Therapy team to support the planned program under the guidance of a PT and help residents improve mobility and independence.

Responsibilities include measuring motor function, documenting progress, guiding residents through exercises, and using techniques like stretching and massage while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsabilités

• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• Assist residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat residents with stretching and massage techniques.
• Help residents use equipment and devices.
• Educate residents on proper exercise to improve mobility.
• Maintain residents' confidentiality and comply with laws.
• Contribute to the therapy team's goals.

PTA Duties Include:

• PTA will work as part of the Therapy Team under the guidance of PT
• PTA will measure and record Residents motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• PTA will observe Residents and write progress reports.
• PTA will assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• PTA will treat Residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage.
• PTA will help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• PTA will educate Residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• PTA will maintain Residents' confidence by keeping information confidential.
• PTA will Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• PTA contributes to the entire team effort and goals.
