Job summary

Pine Acres Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the Rehabilitation/Therapy team. The PTA will work under the guidance of a PT to support residents’ mobility and function.

The role emphasizes measurement, documentation, education, and hands-on exercises, with a focus on confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Flexible employment type, competitive hourly compensation, and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current State PTA license.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.
• Flexible employment type.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Therapy Team under the guidance of PT.
• Measure and record Residents' motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• Maintain Residents' confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contribute to the entire team effort and goals.

PTA- Physical Therapist Assistant
PTA Duties Include:
