Job summary

Post Rehabilitation Services is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for Civita Care Center at Sheridan Woods in Bristol, CT. Join a dedicated rehabilitation team to help residents build strength, improve mobility and pursue greater independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.

The PTA will work under a licensed PT, assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility, and document progress. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut PTA license required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred but not required.
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, and functional mobility.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Reinforce exercises, mobility techniques, and safety strategies with residents and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other team members.

Post Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Civita Care Center at Sheridan Woods. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands‑on therapy while helping residents build strength, improve mobility, and work toward greater independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute care environment.

What You'll Do
