Job summary

LTC Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehab team at New London Rehab and Care in Waterford, CT. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $33–$36 and benefits.

You will help residents build strength and practice daily movements during short-term recovery or longer-term skilled nursing care, delivering treatment plans, assisting with walking and transfers, and coordinating with nursing to ensure safe movement throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good documentation and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Work with residents on walking, transfers, balance, and therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor activity tolerance and report mobility changes to the PT.
• Coordinate with nursing to support safe movement throughout the day.
