Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PRN) to provide therapy under a PT plan of care. You will carry out interventions, document services, and may coordinate with aides and students in an acute care setting.

Requirements include a PTA credential from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners within 6 months of hire, and BLS within 1 month. High school diploma or GED is required; acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Acute Care Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
• Document treatment interventions given.
• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
