Job summary

ProgressiveHealth is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for Union Hospital Therapy, LLC in Terre Haute, IN. You will provide therapy in an inpatient setting, following prescribed treatment plans and collaborating with a team of therapists and physicians.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with weekend rotations, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant, state licensure in good standing, CPR/BLS

Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA – Union Hospital Therapy, LLC – Terre Haute, IN

We are looking for a full-time PTA to join our team in a clinical setting. You will be providing therapeutic and holistic care for our patients in our inpatient division. This role is Monday-Friday day shift schedule with a weekend rotation. Experienced PTA’s and new graduates are welcome to apply! What will you be doing in this role?

• Working towards the achievement of patient care time targets and productivity standards
• Providing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, and/or bone diseases
  • Operating according to underlying goals of the inpatient acute environment, optimizing the length of stay while preparing the patient for transition to a longer-term setting in an efficient and safe manner
  • Collaborating with other therapists/physicians within care pathways as necessary
• Restoring patient function while relieving pain with ambitions of avoiding disability
• Integrating Rehab Techs to support the patients plan of care
• Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations

Our ideal candidate would:

• Have an Associate’s Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
• Have the required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
• Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
• Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Be able to maintain confidentiality

Eligibility to Work:

This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc.).
