Job summary

ProgressiveHealth Rehabilitation, Inc. in Terre Haute, IN seeks an energetic Physical Therapist to join the inpatient clinical team at Union Hospital Therapy, LLC.

You will deliver therapeutic and holistic care and provide coverage for the inpatient division; experienced PTs and new graduates are welcome. Responsibilities include creating individualized treatment plans, reviewing patient information, supervising staff, documenting per policy, and educating patients for discharge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's/Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy is required or equivalent.
• Current state licensure/registration in good standing or ability to obtain licensure.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification required or able to obtain prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Review patient information and evaluate impact of assessments.
• Revise treatment plans as needed throughout therapy.
• Instruct patients/families in exercises to continue after discharge.
• Supervise PTAs and rehabilitation techs.
• Complete documentation per policies and regulations.

Perfect position for a therapist with a passion for treating total joint patients!

What will you be doing in this role?

• Developing and implementing an individualized treatment plan based on patient needs containing achievable functional goals by using therapeutic exercise and modalities, as necessary
• Reviewing available patient information, evaluating the impact of the assessment, and communicating of the treatment process
• Revising treatment plans, as needed, throughout the treatment process for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and/or bone diseases
• Establishing and instructing patient and/or family/caregiver in exercises and therapeutic procedures to be continued following discharge
• Delegating tasks and supervising physical therapist assistants (PTA) and rehabilitation technicians
• Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations

Our ideal candidate would:

• Have a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
• Have the required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
• Provide a CPR/AED/BLS (basic life support) certification or have the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
• Have some advanced education, training, or certification is a bonus (neuro care, sports medicine, etc.)
• Have the ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift
• Have a high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
• Have strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
• Be able to maintain confidentiality
