Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - North Shore (MA) is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver intermittent home-based PT services under supervision. You’ll implement treatment plans, guide therapeutic exercises, and support patient mobility in residence settings.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited PTA program with a current license, and have strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification, as required by the state.
• Experience in home health or related clinical setting preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services as directed by the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, functional activities, and other interventions within the PTA’s scope of practice.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence within their capabilities.
• Observe and document patients’ responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other home health care team members to support coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and other activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies and applicable requirements.

A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Services are provided in accordance with physician orders, the established plan of care, and applicable state and federal requirements.
