Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, and functional activities in their own homes, documenting progress and coordinating care with the PTA and wider team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or certification as required by MA.
• Experience in home health or related clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
• Knowledge of home health documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services as directed by the Physical Therapist and established plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, and functional activities.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
• Observe and document patient responses and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Collaborate with the PT and home health team to support coordinated care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and mobility techniques.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely.

A Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). Services are provided in accordance with physician orders, the established plan of care, and applicable state and federal requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Provide physical therapy services as directed by the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, functional activities, and other interventions within the PTA’s scope of practice.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence within their capabilities.
• Observe and document patients’ responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other members of the home health care team to support coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and other activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies and applicable requirements.
