Job summary

Boost Home Healthcare - Framingham-Norwood is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide intermittent in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT. Services follow physician orders and established plans of care.

You’ll assess patient mobility, guide exercises, document progress, and collaborate with the home health team to support safe, effective care. A compassionate communicator with a PTA license and home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant education program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by the state.
• Experience in home health or related clinical setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
• Knowledge of applicable home health documentation requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services as directed by the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility, functional activities, and other interventions within the PTA’s scope of practice.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence within their capabilities.
• Observe and document patients’ responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other members of the home health care team to support coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and other activities as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely in accordance with agency policies and applicable requirements.
