Job summary

Rock Canyon Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center in Pueblo, CO is a post-acute care facility offering long- and short-term geriatric services. We are seeking a dedicated PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehab program and support patient recovery.

As part of a stable therapy team, you will conduct screenings, develop care plans, and deliver rehabilitative interventions aligned with regulatory standards, while collaborating with families and care teams to optimize discharge

Qualifications

• PTA license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads welcome!

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Regular standing and walking throughout the facility; occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries ensuring regulatory and clinical compliance.

Rock Canyon Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center in Pueblo, CO is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated PRN Physical Therapist Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
