Job summary

Priority Care Rehab Staffing is hiring Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) in the Bronx, NY, to support our PT team in post-acute and long-term care settings. You will work under a PT supervisor, delivering hands-on therapy to residents in a SNF environment.

This is an independent contractor role with a higher hourly rate and potential unlimited overtime. You will implement plans of care, perform therapeutic exercises, document progress, and participate in discharge planning as directed by the

Qualifications

• Active New York PTA license is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Prior SNF experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Implement PT Plans of Care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance programs, and functional mobility treatment.
• Document daily treatment notes accurately and in compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and facility standards.
• Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising PT promptly.
• Participate in IDT meetings and support discharge planning as directed by the supervising PT.
