Job summary

Chestertown Nursing and Rehab is currently hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for full-time or part-time roles in Chestertown, MD. The PTA will work under a PT, deliver patient care, and participate in documentation and coordination of treatments.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited BA/AS in Physical Therapy, a current MD license, and are motivated, reliable, and team-oriented. Competitive pay ($27–$40/hr) and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate with BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by APTA.
• Current license/registration in MD state or applicable license.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and refer to rehab accordingly.
• Document daily participation and progress in progress notes; obtain PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines

Rates may factor by experience: $27-35, PRN $35-40
