Chestertown Nursing and Rehab in Chestertown, MD is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated team. You will provide patient-centered OT services under OTR supervision in a geriatric rehab setting.

We offer a flexible schedule with full-time or part-time options, competitive hourly pay ($28.00–$40.00) and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and PTO. Join us to support residents' recovery and daily independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• NBCOT designation as COTA (if state mandates).
• Holds current license/registration in the state as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of an OTR per state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient participation and progress, obtain OTR co-signature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Assist with additional documentation per state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the OTR.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines.

Rates factor by experience: FT $28-35, PRN $35-40
