Job summary

Chestertown Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Chestertown, MD. The role offers full-time or PRN hours with supervision by a Physical Therapist and opportunities to contribute to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications include a BA or AS in Physical Therapy, current licensure/registration, and CPR certification (preferred). In-person work with a supportive team and comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications and discharges.
• Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines
