Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and create individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. This role includes supervising patients and rehab staff in line with Mercy standards.

Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000/year is offered for continuing education. Required licensure and BLS, with 6–12 months of rehab experience preferred; 50 lb lift capability and mobility requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Education: BS/MS/DPT in Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary PT license in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified; current before caring for patients independently.
• Experience: Six months to one year in rehabilitation preferred (adult/geriatric).

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs.
• Direct supervision of patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.

Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.

Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
