Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks California-licensed Physical Therapists to deliver home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers.

You will assess development, align with IFSPs, coach families, and support in natural home, daycare, and community settings. Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using parent coaching.
• Follow IFSP and collaborate with families to set developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in homes, daycare centers or community settings.
• Maintain progress reports and protect confidentiality.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
