Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking licensed PTs to join our home-based Early Intervention team serving infants and toddlers and their families.

You'll conduct developmental PT services in the child’s natural environment, collaborate with families on IFSP goals, and use the family-centered coaching approach to foster caregiver confidence. Sign-on bonus, flexible schedules, mileage reimbursement, and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license required.
• Pediatric/early intervention experience preferred.
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSP and help families set developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence.
• Provide services in homes, daycares, or community settings.
• Write progress reports and bi-annual reassessments.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
