Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking dedicated Physical Therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in California.

This role offers flexible scheduling, sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursements, with opportunities to serve families in both home and community settings. Applicants must hold a California DPT license and have pediatric EI experience; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license.
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred).
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.
