Job summary

Ascension Mercy Hospital Rehabilitation in Oshkosh, WI seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist to design and implement recovery plans, deliver hands-on therapy, and partner with families for patient-centered care.

You will mentor PTAs, students, and staff, promoting a culture of excellence within the department. A strong emphasis on education and collaborative care supports patients’, families’, and the team’s goals.

Qualifications

• BLS provider within 1 month of hire date.
• Physical Therapy credentialed from Wisconsin PT Board before hire date.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Design Custom Recovery Paths: You’ll perform initial and ongoing assessments, transforming clinical data into a dynamic, evolving plan of care that meets the patient where they are.
• Deliver Hands-On Excellence: Use your technical skills to provide direct therapy interventions, adapting your approach to the unique physiological and emotional needs of each patient.
• Empower Families: Recovery is a team effort. You’ll partner closely with patients and their families, ensuring they are educated, involved, and confident in the journey toward home.
• Lead with Mentorship: Serve as a clinical guide for PTAs, students, and support personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and shared learning across the department.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
