Job summary

Ascension Medical Group Seton Orthopedics - North Austin in Austin, Texas is seeking a Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy for a PRN schedule. You will assess patients, design plans of care, and apply rehabilitation techniques to improve function.

Minimum requirements include BLS within 30 days and OT credentialed within 180 days; a Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• OT credentialing in Occupational Therapy within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and design the appropriate plan of care.
• Administer and evaluate tests to determine functioning across musculoskeletal, neurological, and physiological domains.
• Develop treatment plans based on patient evaluation.
• Design and fabricate orthotics and adaptive equipment; initiate and perform treatments through exercise, manual therapy, physical agents, and rehab.
• Educate patient and family/caregiver about deficits; assist with discharge planning from therapy services.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Design and fabricate orthotics and adaptive equipment. Initiate and perform treatments through the use of exercise, manual therapy, physical agents and rehabilitation.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy credentialed from the obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
