Job summary

Ascension in Panama City, FL is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, establish and adjust a plan of care, and apply standard therapy techniques. The role also involves supervising physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

This full-time day shift position requires Florida PT licensure, BLS within 30 days, and a Bachelor's degree (Master's or Doctorate preferred).

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Physical Therapy credential from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice prior to hire date.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
• Establish, revise, and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Oversee activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
