Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources seeks a Physical Therapist to support the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. This full-time role offers the chance to serve Veterans and military families in a mission-driven environment.

As part of SHR, you’ll deliver PT services, assess deficits, create plans, and adapt equipment needs. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and retirement options, plus generous holidays and PTO.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• CAPTE-accredited program or equivalent recognized by CAPTE.
• State license (any US state).
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical deficits and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, and well-being.
• Utilize data-driven techniques to create effective therapy programs.
• Apply therapy techniques tailored to Veterans’ conditions.
• Recommend & evaluate adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, canes, and braces.
• Provide PT treatments including: therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait analysis, functional activity training, pain management, and wound/lymphedema care.

Position Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Entry-level physical therapists must be graduates of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education or from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• CAPTE-accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education-ActiveState License (any U.S. state)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum of Two Years of Experience within the last three years as a physical therapist

Key Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will:

• Assess patients for physical deficits and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
• Utilize data-driven techniques to create effective therapy programs.
• Apply therapy techniques tailored to each Veteran’s unique condition.
• Recommend & Evaluate adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, canes, and braces.
• Provide specialized physical therapy treatments, including:
• Therapeutic exercises
• Neuromuscular re-education
• Gait analysis and training
• Functional activity training
• Pain prevention and management
• Adaptive equipment assessment and prescription
• Electric modalities (hot/cold packs)
• Wound and lymphedema care
• Pelvic health therapy
• Aquatic therapy
• Wheelchair seating and positioning
