Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to support the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. This role focuses on delivering high-quality physical therapy to Veterans and military families in a mission-driven environment.

Full-time position with a robust benefits package, paid holidays, and generous PTO. Ideal candidates have CAPTE-accredited training, BLS, and clinical experience within the last three years.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Graduate of a PT program accredited by APTA CAPTE or approved by CAPTE.
• CAPTE-accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; active state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical deficits and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength and independence.
• Utilize data-driven techniques to guide therapy programs.
• Tailor therapies to each Veteran's condition and needs.
• Recommend and evaluate adaptive equipment (wheelchairs, canes, braces).
• Provide specialized therapies: therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular re-education, gait analysis, functional activity training, pain prevention, wound care, pelvic health and aquatic therapy.

Position Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship Required
• Entry-level physical therapists must be graduates of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education or from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• CAPTE-accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education-Active State License (any U.S. state)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum of Two Years of Experience within the last three years as a physical therapist

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients for physical deficits and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to enhance mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
• Utilize data-driven techniques to create effective therapy programs.
• Apply therapy techniques tailored to each Veteran’s unique condition.
• Recommend & Evaluate adaptive equipment such as wheelchairs, canes, and braces.
• Provide specialized physical therapy treatments, including:
  • Therapeutic exercises
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Gait analysis and training
  • Functional activity training
  • Pain prevention and management
  • Adaptive equipment assessment and prescription
  • Electric modalities (hot/cold packs)
  • Wound and lymphedema care
  • Pelvic health therapy
  • Aquatic therapy
  • Wheelchair seating and positioning
