Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Provide interventions to improve gait, strength, coordination, endurance and mobility.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to select optimal therapy approaches.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans regularly.
• Mentor rehabilitation staff and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop personalized treatment goals and comprehensive therapy plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve gait, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, and mobility.
• Design, fit, and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment, orthotics, and prosthetics.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine the most effective therapeutic approach.
• Instruct residents in mobility techniques, monitor progress, and adjust treatment programs as needed.
• Participate in resident care meetings and contribute to individualized care planning.
• Supervise and mentor supportive rehabilitation personnel while ensuring compliance with professional and state standards.
• Conduct in-service training sessions and share clinical expertise with nursing and medical staff.
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, organized, and well-supplied work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Physical Therapist experience; nursing home experience preferred.
• License: Current, active, and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Rehab Optima and PointClickCare preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, clinical, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality resident care.
