Job summary

Sunny Days is seeking a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy to join our home-based Early Intervention team serving infants, toddlers, and their families in California.

You will conduct developmental assessments and deliver physical therapy in the child's natural environment, aligning with IFSP goals and coaching families to develop skills. Flexible schedules and strong professional support are provided.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy license required.
• Pediatric/early intervention experience preferred.
• Strong communication with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow the child's IFSP and help families develop strategies to reach goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment and community settings.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. We are looking to grow our team of Physical Therapists in your area!

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers' confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child's natural environment, in families' homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
