Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver home-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers across California.

Join a multidisciplinary team providing physical, occupational and speech therapy with flexible schedules and a strong focus on coaching families in their homes and communities.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California.
• Pediatric experience required; Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services in home/community settings.
• Follow IFSP goals and help families develop strategies to support child development.
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalized progress.
• Provide services in natural environments and document progress with reports.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. We are looking to grow our team of Physical Therapists in your area!

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers' confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child's natural environment, in families' homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
