Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist for a school-based role in Kalamazoo, MI. This in-person position supports students’ mobility, function, and participation at school during the 2026-2027 school year.

Starting ASAP, the role offers competitive pay up to $50/hour, W-2 employment with liability insurance, health benefits, a 401(k) with company match, and reimbursements for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses. Mileage between sites and referral bonuses are included.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Michigan, or licensed in another state and willing to obtain NC licensure ASAP
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based evaluations, direct treatment, and progress monitoring for students (pediatric caseload)
• Write and maintain IEPs, therapy plans, progress notes, and required documentation
• Attend and contribute to IEP and multidisciplinary special education team meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success
