Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) for a school-based role in Gastonia, NC. This in-person position supports students’ mobility, function, and participation at school.

You will provide evaluations, direct therapy, and documentation, while collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals to promote student success. Licensed in NC or willing to obtain licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in North Carolina or eligible to obtain NC licensure ASAP.
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based evaluations, direct treatment, and progress monitoring for students.
• Write and maintain IEPs, therapy plans, progress notes, and required documentation.
• Attend and contribute to IEP and multidisciplinary special education team meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success.

About the Role

Hi, PTs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) for a school-based position in Gastonia, NC. You’ll support students’ lives working in-person with students to support mobility, function, and participation at school.

What You’ll Do

• Provide school-based evaluations, direct treatment, and progress monitoring for students (pediatric caseload)
• Write and maintain IEPs, therapy plans, progress notes, and required documentation
• Attend and contribute to IEP and multidisciplinary special education team meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in North Carolina, or licensed in another state and willing to obtain NC licensure ASAP
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required
