Job summary

Austill’s Educational Therapy Services is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide school-based therapy to students from preschool through 12th grade. The role emphasizes improving mobility, function, and participation in the educational setting through direct therapy and collaboration with school teams.

Responsibilities include developing IEP goals, documenting progress, and traveling between school locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree completed.
• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated passion for working with children.

Snapshot: Seeking a PT to work part or full-time with school-age children in a specialized autistic support program.

A Physical Therapist (PT) provides school-based therapy services to students from preschool through 12th grade. This role focuses on improving student mobility, physical function, and participation in the educational environment through direct therapy and collaboration with school teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to assigned students (PreK–12)
• Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student success
• Complete required documentation, including:
• Progress notes
• IEP updates and annual reviews
• Participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Travel between school locations during the school day (if applicable)

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
• Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapist License
• Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
