Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital invites you to join our Physical Therapy team in Augusta, GA. You will provide physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, perform evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

We care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, with opportunities to mentor staff. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PT program (BS/MS/DPT), Georgia license or compact, CEU maintenance, and BCLS

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT.
• Maintain current CEUs as required by the State.
• 2 years of experience preferred.
• Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services, including evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Care for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric ages; may supervise assigned staff and provide orientation.

Responsibilities

Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence. Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. Provides patient care to all age groups to include pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT Required
• Must maintain current CEU’s as by the State

Work Experience

• 2 years of experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or current compact privileges in Georgia Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required
