Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for our home health team in Alabama. Full-time schedule, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. Orientation compensation ranges from $110,000 to $135,000 and will convert to a per-point pay method thereafter.

You’ll help patients move, restore function, and manage reexaminations and discharges. Required are an active PT license in the state and a CAPTE-accredited degree, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Perform reexaminations at least every 30 days and adjust interventions as needed.
• Complete discharge planning and other duties as assigned.

$110,000.00 to $135,000.00 Salary for Orientation and will then convert to a per point pay method.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.



• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.



• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).


• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.


• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.


• Current CPR certification.
