Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver care at patients' homes in Alabama. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with orientation pay of $110,000 to $135,000 before per-point pay applies, reflecting market variation by location and experience.

You will assess and treat patients, plan discharges, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support healing in the home environment.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of home health experience preferred; mentoring available for less experience.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days minimum, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and adapt plans as needed.

Attractive pay

$110,000.00 to $135,000.00 Salary for Orientation and will then convert to a per point pay method.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.



• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.



• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).


• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.


• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.


• Current CPR certification.
