Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Physical Design Engineer with synthesis expertise to join our Networking Silicon engineering team in Westford, MA. You will own RTL-to-gate synthesis and QoR convergence for complex blocks, optimizing flows to achieve target performance, power, and area while collaborating with RTL, timing, and physical design teams.

You will support physical implementation from floorplanning to timing closure, automate setups, and contribute to project-wide methodologies.

Qualifications

• BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of synthesis and physical implementation experience.
• Proficiency with Fusion Compiler or Genus.
• Hands-on experience with synthesis constraints, timing analysis, QoR optimization, and full P&R flow.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills across RTL, synthesis, timing, and physical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own RTL-to-gate synthesis and QoR convergence for complex blocks.
• Optimize synthesis strategies to meet performance, power, and area targets.
• Analyze design bottlenecks and QoR regressions with RTL, timing, and physical teams.
• Support physical implementation from floorplanning through timing closure.
• Automate design setup, execution, reporting, and triage while improving methods.
